Lydia Ching-Ya Huang

I am currently a third-year communication student at the University of Washington in Seattle. The most valuable lesson I have learned from UW is being conscious of how I present myself and my group and, more specifically, how to communicate with the people around me. Understanding the dynamics of communication has made a significant impact on how I see the world and relationships. My creative vision, knowledge in the communication field, and experience in marketing give me invaluable insights I bring to my role in communication and media. This year I have been comprehending essential tools in the media industry. Besides school, I am studying Photoshop and Illustrator. I believe this learning will provide me opportunities in the publishing media environment to gain experience from writing to editing. I am also studying Social Media Marketing course offered by Northwestern University, which teaches me how to expand audiences and establish an IMC social brand. This learning prepares me for future opportunities in the communication field. Before the end of the year, I hope to complete a media-related internship that will provide real-life experience and important technological skills.
