Lyia Kennedy

I am currently a senior at Northwestern State University located in Natchitoches, Louisiana. I am majoring in Business Administration in hopes of one day owning my own real estate agency or interior decorating business. I am a published author; I published my book, Diminishing Tranquility, in November of 2014. I also plan on continuing on writing. I am very passionate about decorating. I use an app called Homestyler to do most of my work on. I participate in several different organizations such as Helping Hands, Chi Alpha, and Phi Beta Lambda. In high school, I participated in 4-H, FBLA, FCCLA, and Spanish Club. As a first generation college student, I try to set an example for my younger siblings and cousins who look to me for guidance. By showing them that it's okay to follow your dreams brings me joy every day.
