About
I am a forensic psychology doctoral candidate and investigative paralegal whose work centers on justice, trauma-informed practice, and ethical community engagement. On a personal note, I carry intimate firsthand knowledge of domestic violence and its impact on families. My academic path reflects sustained excellence: honors graduate, Dean’s List, invited member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, and now advancing toward completion of my doctorate by 2030. My professional experience blends behavioral science, legal investigation, and advocacy for vulnerable populations, positioning myself to contribute meaningfully to both the justice system and community well‑being.
My achievements extend beyond academics and legal work. In 2017, I founded the Lincoln County Domestic Violence Support Group and the Lincoln County Family Coalition, creating a safe, structured space for survivors and families navigating trauma. I have advocated for families of female inmates, supported community education initiatives, and contributed to the Promise Project as founder. When my oldest children were young, I worked for Northwest Montana Head Start where I held leadership positions in—fundraising, grant development, and policy support—my intentions there were to demonstrate an example for others with my commitment to early childhood stability and family empowerment. As PTA President, I feel I strengthened school-community relationships and volunteered in animal rescue while attempting to bring a broader ethic of compassion and responsibility.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended career path is to become a forensic psychologist working within legal, investigative, and trauma‑focused environments. I am currently advancing through my doctoral studies in forensic psychology while continuing my work as an investigative paralegal, and these two roles together have shaped a clear professional direction for me. I want to specialize in behavioral analysis, psychological assessment, and trauma‑informed evaluation for individuals involved in the justice system—victims, offenders, first responders, and families navigating crisis.
- Graduate school interests
In graduate school, my primary academic interests center on forensic psychology with a strong emphasis on behavioral analysis, trauma-informed assessment, and the intersection of psychology and the legal system. I am particularly drawn to understanding how trauma, environment, and behavioral patterns influence decision-making, risk, and accountability. My coursework and professional experience have shown me how essential it is for justice professionals to accurately interpret behavior, especially in high‑stakes situations involving victims, offenders, and families in crisis.
- Outside the classroom
My hobbies include annoying my adult children by presenting noisy toys to my grandchildren on various occasions. I have one child left at home, he is 12 and has "ASD" superpowers...I'm 55. Some of you are thinking... "What were you thinking". I answer with... He was planned. I have other children nearing their 30's and 40's. However, David is the "special", we fish, paint, hunt, go swimming in the "cricks" and lakes here in Montana. We enjoy identifying plants, animals and love to study insects in their natural habitat. We love to collect rocks and fossils. We have even been known to haul home treasures so we can transform them into art. (bone painting with native symbolism) I love to study Sumerian cuneiform and translate interesting stories or documents into something I can understand. I am obsessed with "truth" and "facts". Neither of which are negotiable. I enjoy studying theology and religions. My secret... I love research. Thank you for reading. Kindest Regards.
