Goals and interests
- Career goal
My main goal and biggest dream is to become a performing arts, high school teacher at an inner-city school. I am getting and English major because I love English just as much as I love the arts and most inner-city schools do not have performing arts programs. The English based degree will give me more jobs opportunities.
- Graduate school interests
As of now, I do not intend to pursue a masters degree.
- Outside the classroom
I absolutely love the arts. I am super passionate about them because they not only inspire me but they have the power to inspire others.
I am also super passionate about literature. I think that stories, from books to poems, can take people into another world.
I really enjoy gardening, both indoor and outdoor. I love to have the responsibility of caring for something that I can watch grow.
Lastly, I love cultural awareness. I find it very interesting to learn about how other cultures' norms differ from the ones I've experienced. I find it equally interesting to learn how beliefs change from country to country.
