About
I am a first generation college graduate and single mother of twin boys who is returning as a nontraditional, first year law student at the UA Bowen School of Law in Fall of 2026. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English from Arkansas State University in 2017, I began my professional career in nonprofit programming and social service leadership. I offer experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating prevention, intervention, and youth engagement initiatives in underserved communities and demonstrated success in coalition-building, grant development, and cross-sector partnerships that expand services for at-risk youth and families. With a strong background in trauma-informed practice, stakeholder collaboration, and staff/volunteer leadership within mission-driven organizations, I aim to continue advocating for safer, healthier and more resourceful communities for child victim and at-risk youth in the state of Arkansas.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to expand upon my experience in social services, particularly in the area of child maltreatment. I will gain and utilize knowledge and skill sets acquired in Public Interest Law, Government, Public Policy and Regulation to assist in an impactful difference in the prosecution of child abuse/neglect criminal cases in rural, underserved areas of Arkansas. I will also lead efforts in advocating for necessary overarching policy changes in Arkansas that would require additional training for first responders and mandated reporters in areas such as trauma-informed care, identifying signs of child maltreatment and reporting protocols, as well as increased funding, resources and specialized training available to underserved jurisdictions in rural Arkansas counties in an effort to increase timely, consistent and effective prosecution of child sex crimes across the state.
