About
I am currently a first-year college student, started in January of 2021. I am working on earning my associate's degree in science so that I may go on to study marine biology. I grew up in a military family and have found a passion for writing, photography, and travel. I have participated in the Battle of the Books and won third place during my 8th-grade year in middle school. I have volunteered for Susitna 100K and Little Su 50, as well as a fundraiser for a veterinary assisting class I took during my senior year of high school. During high school, I gained teamwork, leadership, and communication skills from a JROTC class I took for three years. During my junior year, I became a primary for S6, which focused on communications. I strive to make a difference in marine biology and teach others about the oceans and the animals within them.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I plan on receiving my associate's in science then focus on marine biology. I intend on becoming a researcher in the marine biology field.
- Graduate school interests
While I earn my bachelor's for marine biology, I aim to earn a minor's in photography.
- Outside the classroom
I am constantly exploring different towns and trying new things. I do a bit of photography, mostly of sunsets or northern lights. I also write short stories and do some reading in my free time. I'm always looking for something new to learn.
