About

This year has been one rocky road, and I am not referring to the ice cream flavor. Seeing the world in shambles and everyone’s lives being turned upside down, made it obvious 2020 was going to be different. Over the course of 2020 I have grown closer to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ, completed my first semester as a catamount, and established the foundation for my future career. Covid-19 has changed the way we live and how we interact with others. As an extrovert I felt as though my world was collapsing, but as a Christian I knew this was the time to trust God. Putting my faith in God has brought me peace amid the storm, and joy in the deepest valley: this is true for both my personal and academic lives. It is by the grace of God that I was able to be an involved member of a loving community that encouraged me to pursue higher education. Through prayer and community support I received my double associate’s degree before graduating high school. In addition to shaping me into a caring person with the desire to help others, my community also encouraged me to grow closer to the Lord. I am thankful the same morals apply to the majority of WCU students, and that my bachelor’s degree in business marketing can be earned in a loving environment. After graduation I plan to kick off my marketing career by freelancing around the United States. Once I build up my skills and connections, I hope to work for a faith-based company or need based corporation where I will become a marketing manager. After experiencing 2020, I know that God is with me wherever he may lead me, and that I must do everything in love for his glory. I hope this brief summary of my experiences over the past year helped you gain a better understanding of who I am, and what I stand for. Thank you for taking the time to read it and I hope to speak with you soon!
