About
My names Madison! As you very well should know that. I'm not entirely certain what your organizations wants me to discuss when asking for a summary so here we go. When I graduated Parkway South in 2014 I choose to move in with my father in Brooklyn, New York. There I studied at a school called Borough of Manhattan Community College. It was a great experience and it truly opened my eyes to how much is out there. Although I will admit I had difficulties with a math professor that 'forgot' to enroll me into his class because I was on the wait list. I got all the way to mid-terms to find out all my homework and quizzes where for nothing because he never enrolled me into his class. So unfortunately that caused me to fall a semester behind in math. I chose to come back to St. Louis because I was spending over 8,000 on a single semester there not knowing what direction in life I wanted to go in. Studying at Meramec has helped me guide myself into exploring what I truly love. I would like to be a transfer student into Pearson School of Design in New York. My life long goal is to either become a a photographer or journalist for National Geographic. I'm curious as to what you/your organization could offer me to lead me in that direction. I'm very interested in what I can do to better my chances at scholarships, so if this organization can help guide me; my pocket book and I will forever be grateful.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My 'intended' job path would be to be a painter, If I could paint, create, and just work with my hands for the rest of my life I can't even tell you how happy I'd be. But lets be serious here, no one loves, appreciates and/or studies painters till their dead. And so since I would like to be able to pay my bills while I'm alive I'm interested in a few fields. More realistically I would absolutely love to write or photograph for National Graphic. An I figured Journalism is a great base ground to start on. I'm also interested in Advertising, being able to create ad's of all kinds could be a fun experience and an amazing opportunity to expand my portfolio as an artist. Not to mention that advertising is everywhere, it's 2016 and you can't walk outside without some kind of ad thrown in your face. So the job opportunities might be more extensive.
- Outside the classroom
As I mentioned earlier I love to paint. I work with several different medias such as acrylic, water color, spray paint, oil paint, you name it I've probably tried it! I've been asked to be apart of several different art shows this year which was a fantastic way to not only get my name out there but to get to know local artist. When I lived in New York I was on a billiards team, which was super fun I got to practice my angles and alignments with shooting. I'm also part of The Polar Bear Plunge Club, I once did it on January the 1st at Coney Island and wooooooooow that was a dip in the water I'll never forget. I also truly love to read, I pitty my generation being attached to their phones and social media because reading is a really over looked relaxing outlet.
