Madison Weis

Hello, my name is Madison Nicole Mia Weis. I would like to say Thank You for the opportunity to get to know me and my field of study for this scholarship opportunity. I am the youngest of 3 siblings and second to attend college. My studies have helped me through difficult situations in my life. I lost my big brother 4 years ago in a tragedy. My focus turned to school to survive the pain of loss. My mom and bonus dad placed me in a Irish Dance class at my request when I was 5 years old. It taught me structure, goals, dance with a team and working hard. I learned about competition and made it to World of Irish Dance when I was 8 years old. We finished 12th place in Boston. I have been a helper to others when I can. I won a 8th Grade French Honor Society Award in top 3. It was an honor to receive. I was on Varsity Cheer at Dobbs Ferry High School for 3 years and voted by my Team to be Cheer Captain my Junior Year. Mom and bonus dad moved us to Hawaii in 2021 so I continued to fast track to graduate high school early. By taking 3 extra classes after school helped me achieve my goal. I Graduated Kapolei High School my 3rd year as Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA Class of 2022. A scholarship opportunity came my way and I decided to attend Hawaii Pacific University HPU in Hawaii. I finished my first year 2022 - 2023 in June. Just received email making the Dean's list at HPU and being accepted into Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. Now this fall I'm starting a new semester.
