About

Hello! I’m Maeve Fitzgerald, and I am attending Bishop Kelly High School in Boise, Idaho. I intend to play collegiate golf and plan on majoring in Pre-Law, with a minor in International Relations, as I hope to focus on International Law after graduating college. Traveling and playing golf are my two main passions, and many of my life goals center around them. I am incredibly interested in studying abroad during my time in college. I am truly hoping that I will have the opportunity to be adventurous, while in college and use the desire I have to travel, meet new people, and try new things. Ultimately, I am incredibly excited to be a part of a team, seek new experiences, and serve my community, as I enter the next chapter of my life.

Goals and interests

Career goal

For the longest time, I wanted to work in international relations or policy, work in Washington DC, and be involved in global affairs. However, I didn’t know what career I was aiming towards. As I began to research more about majors and discuss with my parents about possible career paths, I learned about the opportunity to become an international lawyer. After further in-depth research into the career path, I found it to be challenging, but exciting and what I am currently aiming to become.

Graduate school interests

It would be a dream to attend Georgetown University to study International Law. My Dad works in Washington DC half of the year and I have come to feel very at home in the city. Georgetown is known for its prestige in the focus on international law and I feel that it would be an outstanding place to continue my education.
