Mahfuja Hossain

I am currently a nursing student attending Long Island University Brooklyn Campus. I have always been passionate in helping others. I grew up in Absecon, New Jersey. I have participated in many speaking contests in elementary school, and I was in the dance program in high school. I graduated with an associate's degree in health science, and then decided I wanted to do more. I wanted a new experience, away from the suburbs, and explore. I decided to work in New York City and attend school for nursing. I moved out to New York, and I got exactly what I was looking for. The experience I am gaining in New York Hospitals during my clinical rotations are wonderful. This opportunity to study in New York has taught me a lot about myself, and being independent. I have developed wonderful leadership skills. I have high hopes to further pursue my education and receive a Masters degree in Nursing.
