Makayla Rector

I started taking college classes in high school, trying to figure out what I wanted to do as a career. Once I decided I wanted to be a teacher, I started taking classes over the summer and school year to get it completed. As I started to gain some independence, I realized I would like to find a different job with a higher salary where I would still be able to work with children. I switched my major to Pediatric Dental Hygiene and completed my schooling to get on the waitlist. In the meantime, I am working as a paraprofessional in a special education classroom. I have such a strong passion for my job and would love to finish my schooling to become a special education teacher!
