Goals and interests

Career goal

I would like to study Petroleum engineering specializing in Drilling Engineering. From an early age, I have enjoyed partaking in the sciences at school. I became interested in this area because oil and gas industry is the leading branch of the national economy of my country, Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan ranks 4th in terms of gas reserves in the world. It also has rich oil deposits.
From a young age, I have been fascinated by the immense potential and significance of the oil and gas industry. The demand for global energy continues to rise, and it is crucial to have skilled professionals who can navigate the challenges and complexities of this field. I am intrigued by the complexities planning and managing oilrig drilling operations. Enrolling on my specified program will lead me to my chosen career of working within the field of oil and gas. During my studies at high school, I developed strong technical, analytical and teamworking skills, which enabled me to solve complex problems.
I am looking forward to studying in US, as it is an exciting, diverse and the best destination for international students. My decision to study in US is motivated by my desire for a new and enriching cultural experience. Studying at Missouri S&T University will provide me with the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture. It is a multicultural country with high-quality education.
After completing my Bachelor’s degree at Missouri S&T University, I am planning to return to my country and get a job as a drilling engineer in one of the international oil and gas companies.

Graduate school interests

Growing up in Turkmenistan, I learned from an early age the importance of
creativity and communities that can bring people together and inspire new
achievements. My passion for design began in the eighth grade, when I first came
across thumbnails on YouTube. This hobby was a revelation for me, and I began to
explore various graphic design techniques. Soon, I mastered Photoshop, which
opened up the world of digital design to me. Gradually, this passion grew into a
desire to share my knowledge, and I created my own YouTube channel where I
taught beginners the basics of graphic design. This process not only helped me
hone my technical skills, but also allowed me to interact with people who shared
my interests and aspirations.

In parallel with my design work, I founded NEFORMAL, a youth group that
became a platform for teenagers seeking to express themselves through forms of
self-expression such as skateboarding, music, and discussion of current social
issues. We organize regular meetings and events where young people can not only
show their talents, but also discuss important issues concerning our society. This
experience has become a real school of life for me, where I have learned valuable
leadership skills and understood the importance of creating an inclusive space for
everyone.

Within NEFORMAL, we also hold master classes and open discussions that help
teenagers not only develop their skills, but also build self-confidence. I see how
our meetings contribute to the creation of a friendly atmosphere where everyone
can be heard and accepted. This inspires me to continue working in this direction
and develop our initiatives.

In the future, I plan to expand my activities by integrating new forms of art and
design into our projects. I believe that creativity can be a powerful tool for
changing society for the better. Together with the NEFORMAL team, we strive to
create a platform where young people can not only develop their talents, but also
realize their importance in society. These experiences shape who I am as a
designer and leader, and I look forward to continuing my journey in the creative
world and building a community that inspires and supports.
