About

Hello, I am Maleah, I am from McComb, Ohio. I recently graduated from Owens Community College with my associate's degrees in Sociology, Psychology and Nursing. I completed my time at Owens with a service scholar and a general education certificate. I have three crazy huskies and work two jobs one in a cardiac ICU and the other being at a local assisted living. I started my career in healthcare at 16 working in food service at a local nursing home and moved to a position of a State Tested Nursing Assistant which I did for 6 years till I completed nursing school.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My goal is to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Nursing in Spring of 2023 and apply for the Transplantation and Donation Sciences program in fall of 2023 or spring of 2024. My other plan would be to obtain my master's in nursing and become a nurse practitioner and work in family health or community health.

Graduate school interests

My interest would include the graduate program for organ donation coordinators, getting my nurse practitioner working in family care or community health.

Outside the classroom

I love to garden, growing tomatoes and strawberries are my favorite. I like to use my produce to can food for the winter or make jam for my family or friends. Going to any aquarium can make my day, I love seeing species I normally would not see in my area. I enjoy walking my dogs even though it can be a challenge at times and appear that they are walking me. When I get time to relax I enjoy watching a good movie or spending time with friends.
