About
I have eight years of experience as an educator with excellent management and organization knowledge. I value all aspects of diversity in and out of the classroom. Regardless of someone's race, gender, religion, personality, learning ability, or management style, it is important that their role, whether it be teacher or student, is considered as important and successful as anyone else's. As an educator, I strive to teach in a way that I would want to be taught and lead in a way that I would want to be led. It is a priority of mine to seek out strengths when finding weaknesses. It is important to set a vision and align a framework that will allow us to work toward and be able to achieve our goals. Knowing what to expect and what is expected of us is important in being confident and productive. Continuous communication and feedback are important in helping to maintain positive relationships. The relationships that I have with my fellow educators and students will promote a positive atmosphere that will allow for a productive workforce and classroom. This will help in achieving the education of our students. While different perspectives, ideas, and teaching strategies are always welcomed and encouraged, we share a common goal to educate and set our students up for the most success. I can encourage and assist other educators and students by observing the strengths and weaknesses we face and working together to promote the goals and achievement levels of our students and each other.
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree through the University of Tennessee at Martin in Integrated Studies K-6 with endorsements in Pre-K and middle school. I am currently finishing my Master’s degree from Austin Peay State University in Educational Leadership (graduation, May 7th, 2021). I am interested in seeking the position of school Administrator, bringing knowledge in school management and handling tactical day-to-day administrative matters. I strive to be a proactive problem solver and efficiently prioritize assignments. I look forward to having the opportunity to lead by example with a positive approach to work and communication. I have a strong initiative and aptitude to learn. I am looking to continue my education in the Education (Educational Administration P-12) EdD program at The University of Southern Mississippi.
