About

It's typical for people's lives to fall apart when they go through trauma or major life challenges. Bringing healing to those who have endured a terrible or stressful situation is one of my main passions. I want to support everyone, including kids, adults, and families, in developing positive self-perceptions and fostering strong interpersonal bonds so they can feel secure, at peace, entire, and safe.

Honors and awards

  • Exemplary Citizenship Award

In my small town of Deckerville, I received an honor for being an exemplary citizen. To build up our community, I had been participating in a variety of endeavors and fundraising events. From coordinating food drives to participating in blood drives!

Goals and interests

Career goal

In our political environment, when families of those who have lost a loved one due to race do not always receive justice, it is important to provide everyone with justice and create change. To become the most effective lawyer I can be, I would also want to further my career. Boldness and courage are qualities that I believe a lawyer should have and that I aspire to have. While performing their duties, a lawyer should feel confident in their skills and moral character. When a lawyer possesses these qualities, it lends them a certain air of sophistication. A lawyer must maintain emotional composure at all times, however particularly during emotionally charged moments in court. I also think I already exhibit all of these qualities, which is why I think the legal profession is a good fit for me. You can participate in a variety of service activities within the legal profession. Moreover, I want to improve my ability to reason and be self-motivated, and I think studying business at a university will help me achieve that. I want to work in this profession in part because of my personal experiences with molestation. I've discovered that the path from trauma to progress is rarely easy straightforward or easy, yet the start of that trip can be straightforward. It struck me as paradoxical that what was used against me-relationship and connection to others-was also what healed me. I had an army of supporters to gather behind me and fight for me when I was too weak to fight for myself and lacked a voice. A victimized kid is more likely to receive the aid they require if adults and children are informed about the crime, safety measures to prevent it, and who is safe to tell and how to report. My desire to spread prevention awareness among all groups stems directly from my personal experience as a survivor. A child's voice can be empowered in only a few seconds, but it may take years or even a lifetime for them to regain their voice. When someone experiences trauma or significant life obstacles, it is common for their lives to fall apart. One of my main priorities is helping others who have been through a traumatic or stressful situation find recovery, and I feel we can do that through this scholarship. In order to help everyone, including children, adults, and families, build positive self-perceptions and solidify interpersonal ties, want them to feel safe, secure, but most importantly,

Outside the classroom

I adore reading a wide variety of literature. I also enjoy playing the piano and the flute, as I presently play in a band. I enjoy going outside and taking in the beauty of the natural world. Furthermore, I thoroughly take pleasure debating, and this coming summer, I'll be going to some mock trials in Washington, D.C.

Volunteering

  • I volunteer for a variety of organizations, such as blood drives, food banks, catering’, adopt-a-highway’, and visiting nursing homes.
