About

I am currently a Nursing student at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. I am enrolled in the nursing program to become a nurse and provide care to those in need inside and outside of the United States. Growing up in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, I have never imagined that I would be in a nursing program today. My initial major was business with an emphasis on logistics and transportation. But, I found my call in the health field when I lost my older sister and my late mother got sick. These situations made me see life differently. I wanted to do something that would help with my mother’s health and others as well. So, when I came in the United States I enrolled myself in a pre-nursing program at Oakland Community College in Southfield, MI where I was always on the dean’s list. Later, I got accepted at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Troy and Bronson School of Nursing at Western Michigan University, MI. Once in the program at Western Michigan University, I was eager to learn and I enjoyed every single learning opportunity. Furthermore, I currently volunteer as a laboratory assistant at the Bronson School of Nursing and I am in the process to also volunteer at the Red Cross, Southwest chapter, MI. Moreover, since I am originally from a French spoken country; therefore, I can write and speak fluently.
