I was very surprised to have received an acceptance e-mail from the honor society. I have always struggled in my academic career, that is until I figured out what I wanted to do which is become a teacher. I worked in after school programs and as a Pre-school teacher and realized that while I may have had a hard time in school I want to be able to help other students that are also struggling. Since I came to this understanding I've been surprised at how easy it has become to work hard for what I want and make the grades I need to excel.
