About

I'm Marcela Dupree, I've been Drawing(traditionally and recently Digitally) since 5th grade, and through my art, I've learned to grow and love myself, and my race as a Black person. I dream of creating my own animated cartoon show for all ages with proper representation and diversity that I never saw growing up. I feel more variety in all aspects is needed in the Animation industry for it to be taken more seriously and not just entertainment for kids. I really want to produce cartoons that all ages can consume with proper racial, gender, and sexuality inclusion. I also hope that with my ambition and creative talent to create shows that really stick with someone and open my eyes to the future of open-mindedness and togetherness. That is why my goal is to go to art school and major in Animation. If I succeed in this goal I could follow my dreams of opening my own black-owned animation studio that will support and represent other black and minority artists. Art is and will always be a strong passion of mine and going to the next level to learn how to animate is just a stepping stone that I will overcome no matter what shortcomings come my way.
