About

I was born and raised in Parma, Italy, and I moved to the United States in December 2011. When I went back to school in 2016, I was terrified because I had trouble reading children books in English. But I didn't give up: I had to show my children that I could have done it.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I've been working with children in daycares since 2004. Now I want to work in a public preschool, and I am considering the idea of taking my master degree to work in a college, and teach to the new generation of teachers.

Graduate school interests

Outside the classroom

In my free time I follow my children around since I have three children (13, 10, and 3 years old) and the older two are always busy playing sports. It is important for me to be there for them.

  • teacher

I started work with children in 2004 in Parma, Italy, and I've been doing it ever since. Now I work at the Princeville Migrant Head Start, where for 6 months a year we run the Head start program, while for the rest of the time we are a normal daycare center. When I don't work as Education Coordinator, I teach in the 2 years old classroom. I've been working with children since 2004 and I have experience especially with infants and toddlers. I worked for a few years with preschoolers, and for 1 year, I worked also as a PE teacher with children from first through fifth grade.
