Margaret Lipscomb

Even though I have many great ideas for my future and what I could do with my passions and interests, my main goal is to create my own news station and produce my own news. My coworkers and I would give a voice to those who aren't usually heard (minorities or the distressed) and report factional information without political bias. Another goal is to hold the people in positions of power accountable for their actions and words and expose any injustice done by their hands.

Between my two jobs, family life, and being a full-time student it's sometimes difficult to find time to peruse my interests. (It's also difficult because my school doesn't offer a broadcasting/journalism club.) But no matter how busy I get, I always find time to research, film, and produce content. Most of my videos are interview-style or fun, light-hearted games and challenges (ex. interviews with my professors & my Valentine's Day game show). I have even reached out to the school itself offering to start, fund, and lead a broadcasting class!

I have many hobbies that I nurture and grow. If I'm relaxing and want to be entertained, I'll read a book (my favorite is The Shining) or watch a scary movie and microanalysis the plot/theme/cinematography. If I'm feeling creative and energetic my friends and I will go ghost-hunting and blog our adventures! I highly recommend doing this, it's very fun.
