Maria Campuzano

I am currently a business student at Santa Barbara City College, and I have spent almost 7 years in this college because I started studying in ESL program. I am the first child of my family who is attending college and the first one going to the university. I have always been passionate for business. When I was at high school, I started volunteering as a secretary for a school. Then, I worked as a secretary of a lawyer and then as a secretary at a McDonald’s Restaurant. In this last one I had the opportunity to create files, organize documents and fax them, count money, count inventory and make reports. I really enjoyed doing that, so once I learned a little English I looked for the opportunity to study business. This is my last semester at Santa Barbara City College because I am going to transfer to CSU Channel Islands to study BS in Business this coming fall. I have had a great learning experience in this college because I really enjoy learning about accounting, economics and computers.
