About
I am from Greece where I grew up and went to school. When I was 14 my mom was diagnosed with glioblastoma stage 4 and as the only member of the family that was with her, I was her primary health taker for the next four years until she passed away. I was able to come to the US where my father had accepted a job and I could be under his working visa. I attended community college for a year and a half because it was close to the apartment my father used to live at. During COVID my father and the rest of my family went back to Europe leaving me behind. I decided to transfer to the Loyola University of Chicago to make my dreams come true. I found the major of cognitive neuroscience that I fell in love with because it explained so much about the brain and about the cognitive decline my mother went through. It has been very rewarding and I am looking forward to what else there is to learn.
