About

Hello. My name is Mariah Cody, I am Native American from the tribe of the Navajo Nation in the state of Arizona. I am 20 years old, currently enrolled at Northland Pioneer College located in Holbrook, Az. My major is Nursing and minor is Welding. I'm getting my Associates Degree as a Registered Nurse, and also certification in Welding. I live with my mother who is currently going to school for her Associates in Billings and Coding. My little brother who is finishing high school this May from Hopi Jr. Sr. High School located in Keams Canyon, Az. I grew up with an older brother and sister, my older brother has his Associates in Automotive from UTI in Avondale, AZ before he was 21. Now my older brother is going to school for his Associates of Applied Science in the field of Welding. My sister is still currently still going to school to get her first degree in Associates of Applied Science in Welding. I grew up without a father since I was eight years old, he died in a head-on collusion in '04. But he always said to his children, even though I was still small, keep going to school and continue on. I live by those words everyday since he died. And I'll admit I made some mistakes while on my journey that I'm not proud of, but they make me who I am to this day.
