About

I hope to finish a bachelor of arts degree in Psychology by spring 2021, and hopefully head into a graduate program. My pursuance of psychology interests is intertwined with a passion to advocate to the public about mental health awareness. Mental illness awareness is a very much needed topic in the conversations of the community. With so much suicide and behavioral problems in society, people must be encouraged to seek help. An individual with this type of illness is vulnerable to it's effect if no one helps encourage him/her to get the help needed. I want to be able to bring awareness to the community because it is necessary, even if it is one person at a time.

Goals and interests

Career goal: I intend to purse a master degree in School Psychology if finances allow it. I want to work with children, their families, and school officials to improve behavioral needs in the community. I want to offer my service in a field where the minds of young students are vulnerable to encourage them to stay focused on a path to success. If any other doors open up in the future allowing a community effort to help individuals and their families, I am willing to work with compassion and heartfelt empathy to accomplish such goals.
Graduate school interests: A master degree is available to pursue at University of Houston-Victoria which will allow me to enroll and reach my ultimate goal. I look forward to working with the graduate professors to accomplish this difficult task.
Outside the classroom: Art, painting, reading, cooking, and spending time with my family.
