About

My name is Marina Nakajima and I am a Brazilian student in the Civil Engineering program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I was born in Rio de Janeiro but due to my parents occupation in the petroleum industry I had the opportunity to live in Europe for over eight years. In 2008 my family and I moved to Houston, Texas and in 2012 I graduated from Clements High School. In September of 2012 I began working towards my bachelor's degree with a primary in structures and a secondary in geotechnical engineering. Today I am a Junior, searching for internship positions within a construction or engineering consulting firm. Upon completion of my undergraduate degree I plan on earning a master's degree in structural engineering.
