About
Hi there! My name is Marisa Scruggs. I am a young, aspiring artist looking to do big things in this world. My dream is to become a High School Art Teacher. While it may come across as an unusual and even unpopular career choice (especially given my goals) I think this is the best career for me. In today's society, Art is viewed through a capitalistic lens where you have to be perfect and have it be a "sell -able" piece. However, art is meant to be self expression regardless of skill. As an art teacher, I will make sure that our future generations won't forget the true meaning of art and self expression while still teaching them techniques to improve their skills.
