About

I am currently a Junior at Oklahoma State University. I am studying Animal Science and later plan to pursue a career in livestock nutrition. Although I currently reside in Oklahoma, I am originally from Northern Illinois. Before coming to Oklahoma State I received my Associates degree from Black Hawk College in Illinois. During my time there I competed on the Horse Judging Team and the IHSA Equestrian Team. I continued to judge at the senior college level as well this past fall at Oklahoma State. I have been passionate about livestock throughout my life, especially horses. My goal to work in the agriculture animal field is substantially important to me since agriculture has impacted my life in many ways. I believe it is one of the most important industries in our nation, since agriculture has an affect on everyone's lives. Agriculture has supplemented my life through organizations such as 4-H and FFA also, which I participated in as a youth. Through these organizations I was able to hold various leadership roles. These roles were extremely rewarding as I was able to give back, share my knowledge and experiences, and lead by example to youth. I find it incredibly valuable for youth to have someone to look up to. I am fortunate to be able to continue in similar roles at the collegiate level as well. I strive to make an impact on others, especially those shining a light on agriculture.
