About

I have currently been accepted to attend Schoolcraft College, and will hopefully start my first classes in this upcoming fall. I just recently graduated from Garden City High School, and I am nervous but excited to take the next step in my educational journey. At Garden City High School, I was the official secretary of Anime club but, as our treasurer was put in the hospital and our vice president dropped out of the club, I was also considered acting treasurer and acting vice president. Some members of the club refereed to me as all three titles and I preformed all of the positions duties at some point or another. Another club I was active in was the Fashion club, where I served as the official treasurer. Another position I held was Senior Drum Major for the marching band. It was a major honor and by far my favorite position, I had been apart of the band my entire high school career and for my peers to have voted me into such a position I was, and still am, very grateful. I was a member of the Marching, Jazz, and Concert bands for all four years as a flute, saxophone, and sometimes a percussion player. Once when we did a Color Guard special I was granted permission to swing one of the flags with the rest of the Color Guard. Being active outside of school, has been just as important as being active inside of school to me. I have taken dance classes sense I was three, and have at once point taken classes in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Hip-hop, Hawaiian, Maori, Polynesian, and Tahitian. I have preformed at competitions with Modern, Hip-hop, Hawaiian, Maori, and Tahitian. I also preform with a stage group through my studio and we preform 'the island style dances' at nursing homes, art shows, and museums. The most recent showing being a performance at the DIA, or Detroit Institute of Arts. Besides dance I had been involved in a few plays at my church and then qualified to attend, and graduate, from a modeling and acting training program titled Barbizon.
