Goals and interests

Career goal

Obtain a Masters in Sports & Fitness Administration from the University of Houston, and intern with the Houston Texans while in school. Upon graduation get hired as a permanent employee of the Houston Texans administration staff, and work in the Public Relations department. My specific area of focus would be community relations. I would apply the community out-reach techniques I used as an Army recruiter, my general military background (volunteer work - I received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal), and leadership attributes (coach, teach, and mentor) to support the local community. The same mentorship and teaching of life (finances, money management, conflict resolution, education, and etc) that I have done with Soldiers as a NCO for the past 15 years, can be applied to the young players who are entering a very lucrative and vastly different lifestyle. It is not uncommon for a celebrity or athlete to end up broke. The reason is that no one taught them life skills or looked out for them in that manner.

Graduate school interests

Attend the University of Houston and pursue a Masters in Sports & Fitness Administration.
