Marleen Vega Guerrero

Hi everyone! My name is Marleen, a current college senior who is looking for many opportunities to grow and expand my knowledge. I'm a Mexican American who comes from a low income household, but despite that, I strive to become the best person I can be through the people around me. Even though I'm naturally quiet, I set my foot down when I need to and will do my best to adapt to a situation. I would love to get along or meet with more people like me who are determined to become a better version of themselves. People who are willing to fight the struggles of life to love who they are, to love what they do. Also to note, I'm a math tutor at my university! I love helping students reach their full potential in mathematics and learn the material with confidence. Helping students has shaped my outlook on how others learn, how to reach out when in need. It's made me reach deep down inside myself, to understand how everyone is unique. It's made me brighter and more social, more willing to open up as a person. To understand that vulnerability is not a weakness, reaching out will never make you less smarter. I aspire to put these skills and ideals into the world. To not only spread kindness, but to feed determination to others.
