About

In summary, my grandmother taught me how to produce, market, and sell products and treat customers at 5 years old on 47th St. She also was a storyteller, but I never thought that would influence my life. I stayed in a musical household and performed at the McCormick Inn around 6. It was just like breathing. So, by the time I got to Roosevelt University, I had enjoyed singing, acting, and speaking in school, in churches, and more. I was on a fast track. I received my Associate in Liberal Arts and the thought of staying in Nursing with a pursuit of Pediatrics was gone. It was then that I navigated to a technology company focusing on a lot of training in Six Sigma. My tech supervisor said, knew I wanted to back to school so he suggested public relations.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended path was Nursing and I believe that I wanted to work in Pediatrics. However, I had worked at a Nursing Pediatric Agency and my heart was so self-sacrificing that I felt that perhaps, I need something lighter. It's because my heart was so heavy every time I went to work I would carry those children home in my heart. So, Public Relations at Roosevelt put my heart at a distance. Plus, I loved to write.

Graduate school interests

My grad school interests were in Integrated Marketing Communications. This would have probably been my best fit. However, by this time came along. I had been writing for RU, doing an internship, doing photography, and PR responsibilities, freelancing magazines, and diving into research. This led me to dabble in children's books and self-publishing.

Outside the classroom

Writing, poetry, theater, singing, piano, designing sets, speaking at conferences and events, photography
