About

My name is Mary Workman. I am the 8th child of nine kids. I have always loved math-related classes and it took me a couple of years to find my true passion in life, regarding my career path. When I took an introduction to engineering class, it increased my desire to become an engineer. I find ways to solve problems and become a productive member of society. A goal that has been critical on my journey through my education has been persistence. This may seem like a small goal, but it has helped me immensely, whether through my education or in everyday life situations. There have been times where I want to give up in school. However, when I keep in mind the importance of education and that I need to continue, despite the hardships, it has truly pushed me to become a stronger and hardworking individual. This goal wasn't set just for school, but for my whole life.
