About
Communication is considered a crucial component to success, yet is often not appreciated for the gift it truly is. Having a brother born with a significant hearing impairment, I witnessed his delayed language progress to a level of remarkable discourse. His many accomplishments to date would not be possible without the early intervention of a Speech-Language Pathologist. This personal connection has rooted my appreciation and solidified my commitment to pursue this vocation. Communication has become a constant theme throughout my life, as I have consciously selected and devoted myself to experiences that expand my knowledge base and refine skills related to my future career in Speech-Language Pathology.
I have dedicated years to immersing myself in all aspects of this field, independently preparing myself for clinical excellence through education and experience. In 2014, I graduated with distinction from The University of Western Ontario's Honors Specialization in Health Sciences Program. Throughout my academic career, I purposely sought out volunteer opportunities that allowed me to gain hands-on experience encompassing the entire Speech-Language Pathology scope of practice.
My continuous pursuit of both personal and professional excellence primes me for the innovative work required to develop traumatic brain injury treatment programs as a Speech-Language Pathologist. I welcome challenging opportunities and excel in tasks that allow me to utilize my creativity, curiosity, and initiative. My dedication and drive in combination with my dynamic experiences and proficiencies have positioned me to become a trailblazer in the Speech-Language Pathology field, a life choice I am truly passionate to pursue.
