MAX JACKSON

Hello. My name is Max Jackson. I’m currently enrolled at the University of Texas at Brownsville as an MBA student with a completion date of May 2016 and an emphasis in Business Management where I’m currently working on my PMP and in Oracle Certification in Business Intelligence. I also have an overall GPA of 3.6 and am currently in the honors program with CUM LAUDE Status. When asked what makes me standout from the rest of the applicants, I have to say that I consider myself to be a Self-Starter and a Quick Learner with an ability to adapt to different situations when I must. My experience, which is versatile, falls within the industries of Banking, Finance, Insurance, Merchant Services, Sales and experience within the Food and Beverage Industry. In addition to those industries, I also have Customer Service Skills along with written and oral communication skills. In my previous roles as an Assistant Manager to an Operations Supervisor, I faced different and at times difficult situation where I have had to serve as a mediator between employees, customers and sometimes both parties in order to solve complex problems where a solution was needed in order to avoid further escalation for both parties. I have experience in not only developing and reengineering processes and plans but also in leading team projects. I’m currently looking to get into the arena of Project Management because it is the wave of the future and affects all areas of an organization within any industry no matter where it is in the world or what business it is involved in. My two most recent projects were a privately owned Conoco Gas Station while employed with TranzVia, (2015) and the IBM Project while employed with Willis Towers Watson, (2013). Besides my professional accomplishments, I also publish academically where I’m ranked in the top four to five percent of my field (Business Management, Management Process, Management Theory, and Management Strategy). The reason why I feel I’m the right candidate for the position is not just based on my years of experience within the different industries that I have served, but what I have managed to learn and take away from each one of those positions, followed by my social skills where I have learned to communicate and network affectively in different situations in order to get things done while at the same time be able to be around different people that have made a positive impact in my life, in order to make me well-rounded and an affective communicator suited for any situation.
