Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend to pursue a career at the intersection of research, policy, and program development within federal or state public health agencies, academic-policy centers, or health advocacy organizations. My goal is to advance equitable access to preventive oral and maternal health care by integrating oral health into maternal and child health systems through evidence-based policymaking, Medicaid expansion initiatives, and community-engaged programs. In the long term, I aspire to serve in a leadership role where I can guide research translation, program evaluation, and policy design to reduce disparities and improve population health outcomes.

Graduate school interests

My graduate studies focus on advancing maternal and child oral health through evidence-based research, health policy analysis, and program evaluation. I am particularly interested in exploring how social determinants of health, Medicaid policies, and preventive dental care utilization influence maternal and infant outcomes. My research integrates epidemiologic methods, policy frameworks, and health equity principles to inform state and national strategies that bridge gaps between clinical care and public health systems.

Outside the classroom

Outside of my academic and professional work, I enjoy community outreach and health education initiatives, particularly those promoting oral health awareness among women and families. I also love traveling, exploring diverse cultures and cuisines, and capturing moments through photography. In my free time, I enjoy reading, attending local art events, and spending quality time with my family.
