About

As an optimistic individual I managed to finish my Associates degree in Social Sciences from South Texas College. I transferred to the University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA), where I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in English. I was and still am passionate about sociology, the scientific study of human social behavior. I decided to attend graduate school, also from UTPA, where I successfully graduated with a Master’s of Science in Sociology. Being passionate about my culture and my society I decided to give back to my community. Throughout my years as a college student and professional I have always found ways to engage in community service and stay connected with people. I am now seeking my second Master’s degree in Disaster Management. Our society has little to no knowledge on emergency response, and the area in which I live in is prone to Hurricanes. Together as a society we can work towards mitigation and resilience procedures in order to have a successful community. Currently I work as a college connection specialist for South Texas College in McAllen, Texas. I am on a mission to help people understand how essential to prosper and have a quality life by obtaining a college education. I motivate people to get educated, save money and be competitive with exceptional education. If we change people lives then we change our community into regional prosperity. One of my goals is to help and educate our society on resourceful ways to deal with problem solving in crucial cases.
