About
I am a graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. I am receiving my Masters of Arts and am intended to graduate in May of 2027. I received my Bachelor's degree at Oklahoma State University and spent two years working in a public school district as an SLPA. I have a wonderful support system in my parents, sister, and friends. It is a pleasure to represent my community and university as a member.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My intended job path is somewhat flexible, as SLPs can choose their preference from multiple career paths, including schools, clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare settings. I have spent time in clinics and schools thus far and I am excited to further my experience in the medical setting as well to determine my best course for my career. My dream is to one day become my own boss and open my own practice once I have established myself in the field.
- Graduate school interests
My graduate school interests focus on the pediatric population, but my overall desire to to be of service to my community and give back in the way that is most beneficial. SLPs have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of individuals, including the deaf community, the autistic community, and the stuttering community. Additionally, we can work with ages from birth to death, helping newborns with feeding or dementia patients with their cognitive function. My passion lies with pediatrics, helping children overcome any difficulties they may be facing with speech, language, fluency, feeding, or social communication.
