Megan Delozier

I am a proud first generation college student and have an A.S in Biological Science and an A.S in Natural Science, both with a cumulative GPA of 4.0. I am a 4.0 GPA senior dental hygiene student at Carrington College Sacramento. Proud to be a part of the dental hygiene Class of 2020! I have had such amazing opportunities for growth by working closely with the Sacramento County, and surrounding areas, community. I have 550 hours (and counting!) under my belt working in a free public dental hygiene clinic. I have helped many underserved patients who otherwise have no access to care due to economical and/or cultural barriers. I have also been active in the Sacramento county community by volunteering at homeless shelters, disabled facilities, Head Start preschools, and elementary schools. This area of healthcare is my passion, and I plan to continue my education by obtaining my B.S in Health Service Administration. With this, I plan on working in the public health sector as a dental hygiene advocate for changes in scope of practice that allow for better access to care for the underserved citizens. Oral health is an overlooked field of healthcare and I want to help change this.
