About
I grew up in Monroe, Ohio. I have two sisters (one older, one younger). I graduated from Monroe High School in May of 2013. I believe everyone should have something they are truly passionate about. My passion happens to be agriculture. I have been involved with competitive horse showing since I was a young girl. Horses are still, and will continue to be my true passion, they are my escape, but I am also very intrigued and involved in agriculture itself and everything that applies. I have a passion for not just horses, but for all forms of livestock. I have shown swine, steers, rabbits and horses in my county 4H program since I became eligible at the age of eight. Butler County 4H was a very big part of my life and I hope to be involved in it throughout my career. I always wanted to join FFA, but the high school I graduated from never offered a chapter to join.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am currently entering into my Sophomore year at Ohio State ATI. Now that I am in college working towards a degree I have decided that the major I want to study and pursue as a career is Agriculture Communications. I hope to graduate with a Bachelors of Agriculture Communcations degree from The Ohio State University and acquire an advertising or marketing position in the agriculture field. I enjoy agriculture so much that I want to share my passion with the outside world and help expand the industry. I have always loved helping others and helping them see things in a different light, so I believe this will be a perfect field for me persue. My grandmother once told me, "If you love what you do, you'll never have to work a day in your life". I live by her statement as it will always be imprinted on my heart and that is the reason I chose Agriculture Communications as my career choice, its what I love. I want to acheive and succeed in this career more than anything.
As a communicator for agriculture, I want to open others minds to all the possibilities that this field can offer and how agriculture is key to everyday lives for billions of people. In todays world, everyone gets caught up in the chaos of everyday life, that they forget to be thankful for the things that matter most, like having food on the table and clothes on their backs. Without agriculture we would be without most of those things that matter most, and thats what makes it all that more fulfilling. This is what I want to instill in my students, the opportunities and the benefits of todays agricultural society. I want to dedicate my life to guiding our next generations of agricultural successors to become the best they can be and discover the passion that I and millions of other agriculturalists feel in their heart. For us, theres no better way to spend our lifetime.- Graduate school interests
