About
Hello, my name is Megan Rich! I am currently a sophomore at University of Tennessee at Martin, with my field of interest being English. I am working towards a career as an author, but I also have interests in media, graphic design, theater, the arts, and entertainment.
I enjoy learning new things, whether it’s to put knowledge into practice or to hold an interesting conversation. For example, did you know that bubble wrap was first invented as wallpaper? Or that the New Mexico Whiptail, a species of lizard, is a completely female species and reproduces asexually? Or that the plastic part of a shoelace is called an aglet?
But I digress. My hope is that, through my creative contributions, I make others aware of different perspectives, support communities with little media representation, and help ease the transition as our society and its people become more complex.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I hope to become an author, but I am also honing my skills for graphic design, script, character design, and, hopefully, animation.
- Graduate school interests
I currently have no interest in grad school, though that may change in the future.
- Outside the classroom
I have quite a few interests - again, whether to use practically or for conversation - and many hobbies. These include gaming, loom knitting, digital art, songwriting, playing my ukulele, writing short stories, reading, poetry, and comedy. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but these hobbies are what interest me most.
