My goal is to obtain a role that plays a part in the decision-making processes within organizations, specifically utilizing data, given I am a Business Analytics student. I would like to apply for an entry-level position that is primarily concerned with data, a business analyst or a data analyst position is ideal, where I will analyze existing data and make reports to assist organizations in the decision-making process. As I interact with data and gain some experience and comfort, I hope to leverage those experiences to learn more about other forms of advanced analytical techniques such as data visualization, predictive analytics, and machine learning, and use those experiences to leverage into a data analyst position or a senior analyst role. I am interested in data analysis roles within industries such as finance, technology, or consulting, where data is a relevant input within business strategy. My interests would be to continue to grow within an organization to become a senior analyst or a data strategist in a similar industry, where I would supervise smaller projects that begin to drive returns in new areas or segments of an organization. After gaining some substantial experience, I would like to transition into management or business development related to analytics and utilize that experience to help implement new strategies that the data has helped develop. Lastly, I am open to roles within business intelligence and product analytics because data is relevant in bothations. I engaged in learning new tools that are valuable for industry roles, i.e., SQL, Python, and Power BI are valuable tools for a viable career path.

I want to pursue a graduate education to develop my comprehension of business analytics and data science. I will be looking into advanced topics, such as machine learning, big data, and statistical modeling. I believe having an advanced degree will help me obtain specific competencies and enhance my career opportunities. I am focused on programs that will address the practice side of analytics in business. I am most interested in business analytics with applications in finance, marketing analytics, and perhaps operations research. I would also like to enhance my skills with technical tools: Python, SQL, and data visualization tools. Attending a top university with strong career connections would probably be optimal. My goal is to become a practitioner of data-driven decision-making by applying my obtained knowledge and implementing leadership practices.
