About
After starting my career in the theatre industry I found myself getting pulled toward teaching. I started with writing study guides for theatres and going into classrooms teaching theatre games. I then found myself more interested in educational activism. We are constantly confronted with the educational inequity in this world so I wanted to become a teacher. I started serving in Americorps as a City Year corps member then transitioning to Teach for America getting my teaching certification and teaching on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Now I continue to strive to have my students see their identities in the classroom through culturally relevant pedagogy. We work on questioning our educational systems and are dreaming toward a better future.
