Goals and interests

Career goal

My intention with my nursing career is to help people as a whole. I have always valued helping others and thought of it as my biggest passion. Though I do see it as one of my passions, it is not my biggest. In recent years I have been astounded with how things are connected between the mind and the body. Throughout our lives we are faced with infinite situations that affect us in ways that we sometimes do not realize. A person receiving care should not just be viewed as a list of symptoms and responded with standardized treatment. True healing takes place when all aspects of a being are acknowledged. With this understanding, I plan to integrate holism and herbalism into my nursing to help revolutionize the standardization of the health care field.

Graduate school interests

I plan to earn my masters in integrative nursing and to work with holistic programs and institutions.

Outside the classroom

I enjoy learning about the benefits of herbs and essential oils. I am interested in epigenetic studies. To relax my mind and body I practice meditation and yoga.
