Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended career path is to become a Doctor of Nursing Practice–prepared Certified Nurse-Midwife. I plan to provide full-spectrum reproductive, prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care with a focus on equity, trauma-informed practice, and culturally responsive support for diverse families. My long-term goal is to work in a hospital or community-based setting that prioritizes holistic, family-centered care while also advocating for improved maternal health outcomes and expanded access to midwifery services. I also hope to precept nursing students and contribute to education, quality improvement, and community health initiatives.

Graduate school interests

I am deeply interested in pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a focus on Nurse-Midwifery. My goals include advancing my clinical skills in reproductive, perinatal, and newborn care; strengthening my knowledge in evidence-based practice; and developing leadership abilities to improve maternal health outcomes. I am especially drawn to programs that emphasize health equity, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practice. I hope to engage in research and quality-improvement projects related to reducing maternal morbidity, supporting families across the childbearing spectrum, and expanding access to midwifery services in underserved communities.
