About
From the Backcover of her new book:
We're Not Stupid We Just Learn Differently!!! "Memoirs of An ADHD Mind" takes the reader on the wild roller coaster ride of what it is like for those who struggle with ADD/ADHD. Having lost 40 jobs in 15 years (due to the ADHD condition) Missy Hood's journey has been one of heartbreaking determination, endurance & resilience!
From My heart:
I never knew that something/a condition that has baffled me most of my life would turn into a blessing to hopefully help many.
This condition has cost me much in my life but has also shown me what I was made of. I knew a long time ago (when the ADHD condition was at its height) that there just HAD to be a way to overcome. I was determined to overcome and move into the dreams that I longed for I did so so much that I almost got hyper focused on just ADHD. (How the condition worked and affected my brain, how it would affect my thinking and abilities to learn, and then what tools worked for my brain when the condition was active).
I also learned to run to Christ for His help in attaining the needed wisdom it would take to be an overcomer. I don't know about you but I'm a firm believer that ANYTHING is "overcomeable" in this life with Christ. So! This is the beginning of my journey where God/Christ came in because I found that as I learned more about Him He was healing my brain and learning. Alot of people would think that to be crazy but I'm serious. I put Him to the test to see if when I prayed for wisdom would He really answer the prayers. AND He not only did that but He has brought me FARTHER beyond any of my expectations. So you see, Jesus REALLY does love us and He really DOES want to get to know each one of His children (Flaws and All). The hurdle comes when we are each faced with the choice of choosing to get to Know HIM!
Choose wisely! Love ya! Missy
