About

Hi! I’m someone who turns challenges into strengths and curiosity into action. I was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the U.S., where I had to adjust to a new environment while navigating some tough obstacles. Going through two spinal surgeries during high school definitely tested me, but those experiences taught me the power of resilience and staying focused on my goals.

I’ve been part of the Adelphi University STEM program for six years, where I’ve explored everything from biology to machine learning. One of my favorite projects involved improving pancreatic cancer diagnosis with data science. I’ve even had the chance to present my research at conferences, which was both exciting and a little nerve-wracking.

Outside of science, I stay pretty busy. I’m the class of 2025 secretary, president of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, vice president of the Red Cross Club, and involved in groups like NJROTC, National Honor Society, and more. I also love swimming, cheerleading, and playing badminton when I get the chance.

I believe in asking good questions, staying curious, and showing up for others. Whether it’s through music, research, leadership, or advocacy, I try to bring heart, grit, and purpose into everything I do. I’m always learning and always aiming to make a positive impact.
