Honors and awards

  • Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

Lifetime member/Former Vice President of Scholarship - 2011

  • Student Leadership Academy

Out of 11K students, I was chosen to attend this very prestigious class, where I was mentored under Judge Ben Smith - who was then an Associate District Attorney - a current Collin County, Texas District Court Judge

  • National Society of Leadership and Success

For one year, I was a member of this very useful organization. To build on weaker leadership skills and strengthen your 'superpowers' was an amazing experience for me.

  • Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity

My fraternal home for all things law related, a place to fraternize with my future law colleagues, and a very familiar place to go when I don't feel understood. I love this organization.

  • Oncor Leadership Scholarship

Collin College - Spring 2012 - This was an essay exclusive, merit based award that I very proudly accepted to aid in my studies at Collin College.

  • Delta Gamma Fraternity

Although my chapter no longer exists, this was an amazing opportunity to be in a very social, yet academically heavy sorority. (La Tech - 1989)

  • Junior League of Collin County

With great pride, I joined this organization to give back to communities and organizations with my time, talents, and treasures in and outside of Collin County, Texas.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend to practice in the fields of Contract, Education, and White Collar Crime. I would one day like to work in the Department of Justice in the White Collar Crime division.

Graduate school interests

Law of course!

Outside the classroom

I love to travel, I LOVE being a mom to a college student and to a senior in high school, I am a massive foodie, and I love to cook ANYTHING. (But my favorite food is Cajun because a part of me is). I've rarely met a book I didn't like to read, and I love volunteering whenever I get the chance. I really love to work with my hands, but I rarely have the time.
