Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended career path focuses on advocating for individuals fighting systemic wrongs in healthcare, recovery, and public health. As a U.S. Army veteran and Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist, I draw on both lived experience and academic training in Community Health Education to challenge the inequities and design trauma-informed solutions. My vision is to empower others by exposing gaps in care, amplifying voices that are often overlooked, and building sustainable systems of support. I plan to launch Rootfire, a recovery campus and sanctuary that embodies dignity, resilience, and justice for veterans and underserved communities.

Graduate school interests

I intend to pursue graduate study in Social Work to deepen my ability to challenge systemic failures and design trauma‑informed solutions. My focus is on advancing recovery advocacy and building sustainable support systems for veterans and underserved communities, ultimately preparing me to launch Rootfire, a recovery campus dedicated to dignity and resilience.

Volunteering

  • I supported individuals in recovery by offering peer guidance, resource connection, and a welcoming environment. My role included assisting with group activities, providing encouragement, and helping community members access services that promote stability and wellness.
