About

My name is Michael Royer and I am from Houston, TX. I have a degree in instrumental Music Education from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La. I have spent five summers competing on the DCI World Class competitive circuit. From 2008-2010, I was a snare drummer for the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps from Lacrosse, Wisconsin. For the 2011 and 2012 summers I was a member of the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from Rosemont, Ill. During the 2011 competitive season we were the Fred Sanford High Percussion champions. I have spent many years teaching from middle school to high school and have had much success. I aspire to teach at the college level one day and enjoy great successes with my students passing on the percussion traditions to the generations to come.
